We are currently recruiting for eight AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer positions as part of the Renton Community Development & Education VISTA Project. The project includes three AmeriCorps VISTA volunteers for the City of Renton (the project sponsor), and one AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer each for the Renton Housing Authority, Neighborhood House, the Renton School District, Communities In Schools of Renton, and the St. Vincent de Paul Society (Centro Rendu).
All eight of the AmeriCorps VISTA positions are scheduled to start on August 5th. The Renton Community Development and Education AmeriCorps VISTA Project will target and serve four very diverse suburban communities in the greater Seattle area: the Sunset Area and surrounding neighborhood, Downtown Renton and surrounding neighborhood, and the Benson Hill area (all in the City of Renton) and the West Hill/Skyway community (in unincorporated King County, adjacent to the City of Renton). The eight-member VISTA team will be supported by a VISTA Leader.
